ARE THE VIOLENT CRIMES ORIGINATING FROM TENANTS WHO LIVE IN TORONTO COMMUNITY HOUSING CORP (T.C.H.C.) ?
I have been reiterating the need to change those DEFERRED RENT CALCULATION THAT can put ANYBODY who works in arrears.
Toronto Housing (T.C.H.C.) has been crushing the poor, the tenants who can work and want to get out of poverty by this DEFERRED RENT PAYMENT SYSTEM which require the tenant to pay an amount of rent based on income earned several months prior..
By not respecting the fluctuation of the income , the tenant can find himself/herself paying more than 30% of Gross which is the prescribed percentage to pay at this time, and have no money left to carry himself or herself.
This is not fair.
This is not just.
THIS IS an INJUSTICE to the poor who want to get OUT OF POVERTY and have money to live.
I have reiterated the need to have a RENT PAYMENT SYSTEM whereas the tenant pays rent ON INCOME , a percentage , e.g. 30%or 31%, which should be on NET INCOME , not on Gross when the tenant has the income on hands , between two pay periods, up to the market value of the unit for the ongoing month.
Any surplus of rent paid over the market value of the unit can be carried to the next month.
This attitude of CRUSHING PEOPLE emanates from the Federal government which crushes just about every body in this country:
the people of the FRENCH province of Quebec which are OVERTAXED,
the INDIGENOUS people whose needs are not met because of INDIFFERENCE of the Federal government towards them, and
the poor living in Toronto Community Housing Corp (T.C.H.C.) , and possibly elsewhere .
