We need to modernize our subway system. And we can accomplish this with PLATFORM EDGE DOORS which will :
1 - SECURE THE SAFETY OF PASSENGERS, and
2 - IMPROVE THE EFFICIENT of the subway lines whereas the subway train will not have to slow down when entering the station but will be able to go straight to the beginning of the station. This will improve the speed of the subway trains on the line.
3 - This will relieve the stress of the operator of the subway train whereas no one will be able to fall on the tracks
The subway stations to be immediately modernized with platform edge doors are Bloor and Yogne (the two levels), St- George, which are connecting lines, and Broadview subway station where there has already been an incident where a blind man fell on the tracks of the subway.
We all remember the incident of February 2018 at Bloor and Yogne subway station where people were stranded, unable to move, and too close to the subway tracks.
"Someone is waiting for an accident to happened", a TTC rider said uploading a video of the situation on twitter.
I will wish City council will vote in favor for this ENDEAVOR to COMMENCE IMMEDIATELY.
